홍명보

홍명보는 한국 축구의 영원한 리베로써 선수 뿐만 아니라 감독으로서 능력도 인정 받은 순수 한국 혈통이다. 

포항에서 선수 생활을 하던 시절, 유럽 명문 구단으로부터 입단을 제의 받았지만, 포항구단의 이적 거부로 인해 무산되었던 이야기는 유명하다.

아마 그때 유럽 무대로 나갔다면, 어려운 상황 속에서도 홍명보는 분명 멋진 활약을 보여줬을지 모른다. 

어쩌면 바르셀로나의 사비와 같이 중원의 사령관으로써 축구 경기를 이끌어 갔을 수도 있다.

홍명보는 U-20 청소년 국가대표 감독을 시작으로, 현재 한국 국가대표 축구팀의 감동으로 선임되었다.

선수 생활 은퇴후 지도자 보다는 한국 축구를 발전시킬 행정인으로써의 역활에 충실하겠다고 말한 홍명보다.

우리는 아직도 마지막 PK를 넣고 환호하던 그의 모습을 잊지 못하고 있다. 

이제는 선수가 아닌 감독으로써, 밝게 환호하는 그의 얼굴을 볼 수 있기를 바란다.
